landscape - study from a photo
"A little bird told me", a sketch in color
Yet another remake of a piece that I’ve had in my mind since forever (go figure, turns out I made my first attempt at this subject and character in 2004).
The girl is supposed to be the spirit of the place (the tree and its surroundings), its guardian. She’s friendly… well, to those who do not mean harm, that is. And, quite probably, she uses these little birds to bring her news about the world.
An original character from my story, The Long Road (which is in bits and pieces all over the place). An undead mage named Larta, bound to serve the interests of his country (Arteya) and stripped of every other intention and emotion. Supposedly so, anyway.
This particular image is, probably, the initial one. The one that got the story started for me. I just saw it in my head - how he is crawling out of his own tomb.

colored version of TLR mages’ armor (with added pauldrons and a cloak)
from life (well, a selfie, actually)
Developing a design of a mages’ armor for a personal project (“The Long Roads”, a story that’s been sitting in my head for some years now).
A landscape with red trees. Nothing very fancy in terms of rendering, but it’s a place and a color combination I dreamed of and wanted to keep.
tried a palette challenge =) I don’t know if I can turn this stuff into a daily challenge, but I think I’ll try some more palettes. Is opacity a cheat in this type of challenge, I wonder?.. But even if it is, I think I’ll keep cheating, ‘cause it’s no fun if you are not allowed to mix colors even a bit.
